Occurrence Investigations

Occurrences can happen at any time. They are unfortunate and must be prevented at all cost. Preventing occurrences from recurring must be the intended end result for occurrence investigations. Railway Operators are required by law to report (to the RSR) and investigate ALL railway occurrences. Accidents; Incidents and Near Misses are all recognized as Occurrences within the railway industry. Holders of Safety Permits are required by law to report (to RSR) and investigate ALL occurrences.
